Seiko SBGA415

This is a modern reinterpretation of the famous 62GS from 1967. The 62GS was not only Grand Seiko's first watch with an automatic movement, but along with the 44GS released the same year, it was also the first watch to express the design grammar, the Grand Seiko Style, that continues to characterize all Grand Seiko designs to this day. Like its predecessor, this modern reinterpretation features the characteristic sharp edges and perfect, distortion-free surfaces that only Zaratsu polishing can produce, as well as a wide dial opening achieved through a bezel-less construction.

The light grey textured dial is inspired by the deep winter snow that covers the mountains in Taisetsu, the twenty-first of the twenty-four Japanese sekki, or seasons.

The watch is powered by the Spring Drive Caliber 9R65, which is hand-assembled by the skilled craftsmen of the Shinshu Watch Studio.
