The finely textured dial of this new SPB333J1 creation captures the power of the polar glaciers that shape the land and seascapes of the Arctic and Antarctic. The case pays homage to the 1968 Seiko 6105-8000 diver's watch, whose curved silhouette and crown positioned at four o'clock later inspired the design of many iconic diver's watches. The watch is fitted with a five-row steel bracelet with safety catch and folding clasp, as well as an additional polyester strap made entirely from recycled plastic bottles. The 6R35 caliber, a proven automatic movement beating at 21,600 vibrations per hour, offers a 70-hour power reserve. The stainless steel case and bracelet are treated with an ultra-hard coating and the anti-reflective coating on the inside of the sapphire crystal ensures good readability from any angle. The twelve indices and hands are coated with Lumibrite to ensure optimal readability even in the dark.
