The Prospex SPB297J1 model, featuring a deep blue dial, is inspired by the first Seiko diver's watch from 1965, which proved its reliability when it was selected as equipment by members of the 1966–1969 Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition. This watch is powered by the time-tested 6R35 caliber, offering a 70-hour power reserve. It is water-resistant to 200 meters and is presented on a steel bracelet with secure extensions and clasps. The case features an ultra-hard coating, and the sapphire crystal has an anti-reflective coating on the inside for easy legibility from any angle. The twelve indices, as well as the hands, are generously coated with Lumibrite for enhanced readability in low-light conditions. This creation is part of Seiko's Prospex Save the Ocean collection.
